Behind Government of Seychelles Information Technology security is Switzerland-based WISeKey company, an independent software vendor (ISV) and Microsoft Gold partner specializing in IT security. WISeKey develops applications for organizations that require a layer of security higher than is typically available in the market -- in sectors such as government, finance and defense.
WISeKey helped the Government of Seychelles enhance their Information Technology security around a public key infrastructure (PKI) security framework, creating a safe online environment for exchange and storage of information.
As quoted by Lanka Dorby, Government of Seychelles:
“The Government of Seychelles has recently procured a solution from WISeKey to enhance its ICT security around a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), creating a safe online environment for exchange and storage of information. It is the aim of the Government of Seychelles that this project builds confidence, raises user awareness and becomes the stepping stone for PKI-enabled applications for both the public and private sectors. This initiative can also be interpreted as Government playing a pivotal role in coordinating the various elements required to build trust for online business.”
