"I am delighted that this group of prestigious leaders accepted my invitation to join our Strategy Commitee," said Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeKey. "These leaders bring their extensive experience and knowledge of the business community to WISeKey, and will help us set the right strategy for future growth. We already retain membership from a number of business luminaries and each of them brings vast experience in a variety of businesses from all around the globe. I thank all of our new board appointments for their willingness to contribute their knowledge and experience to WISekey."
"Understanding the security challenges and market opportunities that face corporations, today and in the future, is critical to the success of WISeKey’s business," said Patrick De Smedt as he announced the new members of the strategy committee.
Leonard Schrank commented: "We need a more mature Internet and WISeKey is providing technologies, products and services to provide Internet users with secure identity and more commercially reliable products. This will be to everyone's benefit."
One of the initial priorities of the strategy committee is to develop compelling business initiatives which will be implemented via WISeKey’s existing strategic partners. These individuals are helping the company to recognize the direction of global security markets and providing strategic advice on how the company can most effectively and efficiently assist business in the sector.
As WISeKey will expand its business worldwide to support enterprises in industries such as eHealth, eGovernment, financial services, information technology, tourism, secure real estate, communications and professional services, the advice and guide from the Strategy Committee is paramount to help the company establish itself in these sectors.
Reporting to the WISeKey Board of directors, the Strategy Advisory Board will meet regularly throughout the year to provide advice and recommendations, but will not have any legal or formal responsibilities.
