Chairman & CEO, Ignite! Learning In 1999 Neil Bush founded Ignite! Learning, an education curriculum development company based in Austin, Texas. He serves as Chairman and CEO and promotes Ignite!’s mission to transform classroom education worldwide. Ignite!’s classroom solution includes a proprietary projection device called a COW (Curriculum on Wheels) and complementary print materials. The COW is very easy for teachers to use, it comprehensively meets curriculum standards, and is highly motivational to students and teachers. The focus for product development and sales are upper elementary and middle schools. Ignite! combines work sheets and assessments with music, video, animation, text, graphs, and charts that are scripted around how children learn best. Ignite! is pioneering in the practical use of technology to help classroom teachers succeed in teaching their students. Neil serves on the boards of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service, the Points of Light & Hands On Network Foundation based in Washington, D.C., and Houston Volunteer, the volunteer center that serves the greater Houston area. Neil and his wife Maria live in Houston, Texas and have six children: Lauren 1984, Pierce 1986, Ashley 1989, Elizabeth 1991, Pace 1994, and Alexander 2001. Neil and Maria enjoy various sports and are active in local charitable activities. Neil earned a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University School of Business.
